Standard404 is an experimental design studio based in Madrid, founded by Stef Fusani. 
The studio&#38;nbsp;addresses the origin of production processes in relation with the human habits&#38;nbsp;of the 21st century. By doing so, it seeks to make&#38;nbsp;projects that rethink the role of design in the current society and the cultural constructions associated with it.
Using non-structured design strategies and different materials and media, the aim of Standard404 is to develop new ways of seeing and engaging with contemporary material culture.

Stef Fusani is also the co-founder of the material research duo MALERBE, and the collective PARENTESI.&#38;nbsp;

Solo Show &#38;amp; Performance

Design has become a true form of contemporary language, breaking down the barriers between architecture and art and transcending the two disciplines. Designers are now approaching traditional production techniques by re-adapting them to a contemporary aesthetic while enriching them with an experimental vision, turning them into tools for innovation. The re-appropriation of these classic production processes has formed a discipline in which old crafts are reinterpreted and adapted by contemporary designers to modern socio-economic dynamics."Dissonant Classicism" is a performance project that arises from breaking down the value that traditional techniques have within the world of the arts, both applied and plastic, in the current production of a design piece.
After being invited to the Athens Design Forum, we took as a study case one of the most exploited examples in contemporary Greece, the Classical Ancient Temple, with particular reference to the Zeus Temple of Athens, about 500 meters southeast of the Acropolis.After a very brief visual examination, we decided to reproduce four objects during our performance This first step called ''the Extraction," consisted of selecting a series of objects from the Temples and decontextualising them, repositioning them in a new and unfit environment, an Industrial Archeology that was also the location of the performance itself.The second step concerned the choice of craftsmanship. We needed a craft that belonged both to Ancient Greece and to our practice and that could be used during the performance. Stucco is a technique used for covering pillars and walls in Greek Temples and it was perfect for our needs. We adapted the technique using it in a personal way; the "stucco" is no longer plaster, and the base is no longer stone walls, but contemporary materials, such as polystyrene as a base, a resin-based plaster mixed with local sand as covering materials.The action of producing these pieces live, being able to interact with viewers while working, is the fundamental aspect of this project. A way to bring the making-off closer to the people while investigating new production processes. "Dissonant Classicism" is concerned with the conceptualisation of an object and the action of creating; it is about the performance, not the final form achieved. In this way, old and new techniques are fused with different visions and aesthetic needs, material studies and possible applications, reflecting not only on functionality but also questioning the aesthetic values and perceptive standards regarding the production of an object.A working methodology that goes beyond the products, and opens up space for a discipline that aims to encapsulate its context.

The piazza has always played a central role in the functioning of a city, acting as a meeting point for its inhabitants. An open, public and inclusive space, a place for circulating information, adorned with symbolic elements, and a venue for social, religious or cultural activities.This condition is the core of the whole project: the gallery becomes a piazza for the last meeting under the Camp wings.Camp se acaba, orgía en mi casa is a tribute; it becomes a oneiric scenography, in which every element is directly linked to references that gravitate around the gallery itself and Bea. Nothing else.A big hug.

There are common and almost instinctive gestures that arise
as a consequence of a system or culture.
The intention of this reaction can be provocation, boredom,
disinterest or rebellion against established rules. 
So what would happen if a small, childish act, such as
sticking a gum under a school desk, would take on larger proportions and became
the basis of a project?
It is with this prerogative that Chewed Tactic is
presented, with the intention of highlighting a silent but shared act between
different people, including people of different generations.
Chewed Tactic is therefore a tribute to an autonomous
tactic, to the first collective act of strength, which passes almost by
stealth, but which continues to perpetuate itself over the years.

The God’s Pool is an habitat where the public of the festival can freely move around and create new spaces of dialogs and relations with friends, straw bales, unknown people, plants, cutie insects or being with just themselves.

It acts like a source that purifies, refreshes and allows people to recover, embracing and cuddling them. 

It’s a pause from the real world and from cultural differences.

The God’s Pool is an inclusive space that invites the public to enjoy the atmosphere of the festival. &#38;nbsp;

MOVIMENTO In the Italian dictionary, among the meanings of Movimento we read: “any phenomenon of aggregation and mobilization of individuals who, as a result of socio-economic changes that have occurred, develop the awareness of their identity as a social group and actively undertake to bring about a change in their condition or of the political system itself. “ The curatorial project of La Cube and Salvatore Peluso is the design of a network, which creates a dialogue among free and autonomous practices, disconnected from industrial logics and of immediate functionality. Those presented at Camp Design Gallery are projects capable of telling stories, exploring the possibilities of the material and its cultural meanings; they are projects that undermine the Western concept of comfort and that generate ambiguity rather than having a specific use. Movimento is a support platform for independent designers, a “third place” dedicated to meeting, listening and dialogue, which materializes with an exhibition in the gallery spaces.

SECOND EDITION With the second episode of the exhibition series, Movimento moves its gaze towards Rotterdam and Barcelona, two of the most active European centers in recent years in the field of design and architecture. The curatorial choice to work by cities is not causal. We want to reveal the connections between hubs and generate new ones among designers. We intend to bring to Milan – the world capital of industrial design – a variety of different, independent, apparent-ly irreconcilable visions. We are not interested in a coherent and uniform perspective of how objects are designed, but open to new ways of thinking. From Barcelona we selected Max Enrich, Julen Ussia and Takk Architecture studio; the duo Rem Atelier, Diego Faivre and Studio Ossidiana come from Rotterdam; Giada Montomoli, Stefania Ruggiero and From Outer Space are the Milanese representatives on show. Working with selected cities has a practical reason: to involve international institutions to support the project. We see the gallery space as the node of an enlarged network of companies, museums, and universities. In this case, Movimento has received the support of Acción Cultu-ral Española (AC/E), a program for the internationalization of Spanish culture.

DESIGN DURING PANDEMIC TIMES The second lockdown slowed down the opening of the exhibition, initially scheduled for 11 November 2020. Following the current regulations in force in Milan, from the beginning of Decem-ber 2020, the gallery is once again a place accessible to the public, as it is considered a kind of boutique. This normative ambiguity – which, on the other hand, does not permit the opening of museums, theatres and other cultural centres – allows the exhibition to be inaugurated fol-lowing all health requirements (limited admissions, temperature measurement, hand washing). However, the health emergency will not let us to do what we consider the central activity of the whole process: the (physical) meeting and dialogue between all the people involved, all those moments of conviviality before and after the inaugural day, the final dinner at the Riviera (the restaurant next to the gallery).

In response to the situation, we have created a series of videos called “Unboxing Movimento”, to recount an important part of our curatorial process: the packaging of the works, their shipping and unboxing. These are moments that precede that of the exhibition, which is then shown to the public and disseminated to all press media. The documentation of these intimate moments was developed in collaboration with Monomio, a research platform for contemporary and independent design.&#38;nbsp;
